
Samvardhana Motherson announced its 11th bonus issue in the last three decades, and like the earlier instances, the company has announced a 1:2 bonus this time as well.
This means that if a shareholder has 100 shares of Samvardhana Motherson, they will be entitled to receiving 50 bonus shares in lieu.
The stock price will adjust in proportion to the bonus ratio. The stock is trading 0.3% higher on Friday.
Samvardhana Motherson’s demerged entity, Motherson Sumi Wiring also announced a bonus issue in the 1:2 ratio.
This was the first bonus issue that the company announced after its demerger and subsequent listing on the bourses.
The entitlement and adjustment will be similar to Samvardhana Motherson, as the company’s bonus share ratio is the same. The stock is trading 2.5% higher after the adjustment.
Last company in this list is IFGL Refractories which also announced its first ever bonus issue.
Ratio for the bonus shares announced is 1:1, which means that shareholders will be entitled to get one bonus share for every one share they own.
In case a shareholder has 100 shares of the company, they will be entitled to receive another 100 bonus shares. The stock price will also adjust accordingly.
Shares of IFGL Refractories have gained 18% so far in 2025 and trades little changed on Friday. Motherson Sumi Wiring’s shares are up 9% so far this year, while Samvardhana Motherson’s shares have remained flat.
