Addressing party cadres at a state and district-level consultative meeting in Mamallapuram, Vijay told supporters, “What is going to happen now is not just an election; it is a democratic battle. You are the commanders who are going to lead this democratic battle,” as per news agency PTI.
He accused the DMK, which is currently in power, of being an “evil force” and described the AIADMK as a “corrupt force”, asserting that neither deserved to govern the state.
“Whether it is this evil force or that corrupt force, both should not rule Tamil Nadu. Only we have the guts and the attitude to truly and boldly oppose such parties,” Vijay said, as per PTI.
‘No compromise’ on political principles
Vijay reiterated that his entry into politics was driven by a commitment to public welfare and the protection of Tamil Nadu’s interests.
“We are here to save the people and protect the soil from anyone who intends to cause harm,” he said, while adding that TVK would not dilute its ideology under any circumstances. “We will never compromise our politics for anyone or anything,” he said.

Vijay also alleged that both major Dravidian parties had yielded ground to the BJP — the AIADMK openly and the DMK indirectly.
“The AIADMK has directly surrendered to the BJP, and the DMK has indirectly surrendered to the BJP. We do not bow down to any pressure. Does this face look like it would succumb to pressure?” he said, as per News18.
He also criticised the DMK for abandoning the principles of its founder CN Annadurai.
Acknowledging challenges, he said the party was facing pressure but would not give in. “We are at a decisive point in our political journey. TVK is under no pressure. There is no scope for pressure politics. Is there pressure? Yes, there is pressure,” Vijay said added.
Whistle unveiled as party symbol
Vijay claimed TVK could secure victory even without alliances. “This force of TVK will win even if no friendship force (alliance) is with us,” he said, as per news agency ANI.
At the event, Vijay unveiled the party’s symbol — the whistle — and blew it on stage, drawing cheers from party workers.
