Until July 31, 2027, people securing their first private job will get ₹15,000 from the government. Employers will also be incentivised to hire new employees. Check out the eligibility and benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana.
The government will pay ₹15,000 to anyone who secures their first job in the private sector, aside from incentivising employers too, until July 31, 2027. The total outlay of the scheme is ₹99,446 crore.
All salaried employees earning up to ₹1 lakh per month are eligible for the scheme. The government aims to create more than 35 million new jobs through this incentive
Under the PM-VBRY, you have to registered under the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) to be eligible for the direct financial incentive from the government
Eligibility conditions:
- Employee must join an EPFO-registered establishment between August 1, 2025, and July 31, 2027.
- Must not be a member of EPFO or Exempted Trust before August 1, 2025.
- EPF contribution should be received from August 2025 or later.
- Monthly gross wage must be ₹ 1 lakh or below.
- Employee must remain continuously employed in the same establishment for at least six months.

Total incentive: Up to ₹15,000
- First installment will be paid after 6 months of service.
- Second installment will be due after 12 months of service.
- Second installment will be deposited in a savings instrument to promote long-term savings.
Who can apply for Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana
- EPFO-registered and compliant establishments
- Includes units exempt under EPF Act
- Must create new jobs above existing staff count
- If the staff is less than 50, then hire at least two employees
- If the staff is more or equal to 50, then hire at least five employees
Employer benefits under Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana
- Up to ₹3,000 per employee per month based on salary
- Paid after 6, 12, 18, and 24 months of sustained employment
- Incentives for two years (4 years for manufacturing sector)
- Direct Benefit Transfer to PAN-linked bank account
How to claim benefits under Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana
- Get EPFO code via Shram Suvidha Portal
- Register on the EPFO Employer Login Portal
- Hire new employees with a monthly salary up to ₹1 lakh
- File monthly ECR returns with PF contributions
- Maintain additional staff for at least six months
